Apply Now

Click the “Apply Now” button above and submit an application.

The application includes a Cooperation Agreement that must be signed, a $200 non-refundable application fee due at the time of submission, and a current psychoeducational evaluation.

New families should select Create an Account from the application drop-down menu. Current families can use their existing application accounts. Log into your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.

After submitting the application, you will be able to track your admission status by logging into your account. There you will be able to print the completed application, print any necessary forms, and see when the school receives your information.

As part of the online application, you will be prompted to submit a copy of your child’s

  • Psychoeducational evaluation (completed within three years from the date of the application)
  • IEP or 504 (if applicable)

Your application will not be considered complete without this documentation.

The Admissions Committee will review the completed file and determine if your child is an appropriate candidate for our program according to the information we receive. If it appears that your child does fit our student profile, you will be contacted to schedule a shadow day.

Park School shadow days are two consecutive days. We shadow on Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday. A representative from the school office will reach out to set up a time for your prospective student to shadow at Park School.

Upon completion and review of the student Shadow Days, the Admission Committee will reach out to set up a student evaluation. The student will be screened in OG, Reading, Writing, Speech and Language, Math, and Occupational Therapy for potential Park School placement. Upon completion, our therapist will reach out to discuss results and next steps.

Park School requires a Personal and Educational Reference. The Admission Committee will be reaching out to your recommended references. The Applicant Reference forms are due back within 5 days.

  • Applicants who complete the application process, including records/references, screening, and interview, by the end of each month will receive an admission decision on the 15th of the following month. An applicant may be offered admission, deferred, or denied. Admission decisions are at the sole discretion of Park School. If an individual is accepted but the grade level is full, the applicant will be added to the wait pool. Applicants are chosen from the wait pool as space in a grade becomes available.

Once accepted, a student will have one week to enroll and will start on the first day of the next quarter.

Check the Status of your Application

You can check the status of your application by logging into your FACTS account. This is the account you set up when you did your application. Wait Pool: If your child meets our admission requirements but we do not have space in the grade, your child will be placed in a wait pool. The school will select applicants as space becomes available. Park School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, and national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic programs or other school-administered or school-sanctioned programs or activities.

What happens after a screening day:

Parents/Guardians will receive a summary letter providing feedback from the Admissions Director, including interpretation of test scores and recommendations for your child. There are generally three outcomes after a screening: If your child is found to be an appropriate candidate, he/she will be placed in our candidate pool. This means that your child will be considered for acceptance during the decision process.

It may be determined that your child is appropriate for dyslexia remediation, but does not need a full-time specialized setting at this time.

If it is determined that this is not the appropriate learning environment for your child, you will receive feedback and recommendations for other academic options.

If the Admissions Committee feels that Park School is not the appropriate setting for your child after reviewing your completed application, you will receive a letter from the Admissions Director indicating why that decision was made. You will also receive recommendations of other schools that might be a better fit for your child and his/her learning needs.
