Park School High School

Designed for Difference, Built for Brilliance

PSHS is an innovative program designed exclusively for dyslexic students, celebrating the unique ways they think, learn, and create.

Blending real-world experiences, hands-on learning, and a robust academic foundation, the school prioritizes creativity, self-expression, and personal growth.

Students thrive in an environment that embraces their individuality, encourages innovation, and equips them with the skills and confidence to excel in any path they choose. Here, every student is empowered to see their differences as strengths and to forge their own extraordinary futures.

Not traditional

Traditional schools may support rigorous academics, but without considering the unique needs of dyslexic learners. Traditionally, knowledge is abstracted from the real world, and students learn how to succeed academically, but not in life. PSHS provides a robust academic foundation, presented in a way that not only meets the needs of our students, but also empowers them to make connections and pursue a deeper understanding of topics that interest them.

Not progressive

Progressive school settings typically allow students free rein to choose their own pursuits, moving from project to project, but without the framework, guidance, or deep attention to knowledge that's required to unlock potential in a field of interest. While there is merit in exploring interests, PSHS provides a framework for exploration, allowing students to engage in meaningful projects that lead to real-world applications.

The better option

The Park School High School program is intentional: a deliberately planned and delivered curriculum comprised of academic and real-world skills that open a greater and greater number of possible paths, all with the dyslexic learner in mind. Our students don't just learn- they get curious, understand, apply, and integrate knowledge to pursue their own passions.

Specialized Academics

PS prepares students for success by providing purposeful education in a small group setting, supported by teachers who value and understand the dyslexic mind. Students are provided support that leverages their strengths while addressing challenges, in a setting that is flexible enough to adapt instruction to meet individual needs. Students are encouraged to explore and develop areas where dyslexic thinkers often excel, such as storytelling, engineering, and innovation, fostering a sense of achievement and strong development of self.

Experiential Learning & Real-World Applications

Students are provided opportunities to explore the dyslexic advantages through real-world experiences and capstone projects, empowering students with a clear trajectory toward creating a magnificent life at the intersection of their passion and skill set. Experiential, project-based learning is applied across the curriculum, emphasizing how academic concepts are applied in real-world contexts. In addition, students engage in practical life skills education in areas such as financial literacy, entrepreneurship, communication, and time management to prepare them for life beyond school.

Collaborative Cohorts

PS provides dynamic, supported small group instruction across the curriculum. Individualized coaching enables students to define values, set goals, take risks, and plan for a future that excites them. Through inquiry-based learning and collaborative projects, students develop problem-solving skills and learn to approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
